The Genesis Biologics team set up shop once again this year at the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting 2018. Held in New Orleans, our time at the meeting was a busy three days (March 7-9) of exhibitions, seminars, and networking.

What was the buzz?

Regenerative medicine was the primary focus for our booth. We had a lot of traffic regarding our Genesis PRP products following the March 7 seminar for surgeons that touched on the topic. Our Genesis Amnion products garnered a lot of interest as well.

We enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing their ideas about using biological products in their practice. Many physicians are looking for non-invasive ways to help their patients, so we had a number of good conversations about that as well. We spoke to professionals at every stage of patient care—surgeons, residents, physician assistants, nurses, and medical assistants.

The cross-section of surgeons we met expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of biologics in their respective areas, including:

  • Podiatry (foot and ankle)
  • Shoulder
  • Hand & Elbow
  • Hip
  • Knee
  • Ankle
  • Foot
  • Spine
  • Plastic (Reconstructive and Cosmetic)

Both U.S. and international surgeons came by our booth. Although our products are domestic-only right now, we nevertheless had some fruitful discussions.

If you didn’t have a chance to attend but want to view the Presidential Line addresses, AAOS has AAOS 2018 Event Videos. Genesis Biologics is excited to build a lasting relationship with the surgeons, distributors, and suppliers we met at the AAOS 2018 Annual Meeting. We’re already looking forward to next year.
